The WFA regions - an introduction

The WFA area comprises the following regions: Central Finland, Ostrobothnia, Satakunta, South Ostrobothnia and Tampere Region. The area consists of 23 sub-regions and 105 municipalities. The land area exceeds 65,000 km², which is twice the size of Belgium. There are 1,3 million inhabitants in the area, i.e. 26 % of the total population of Finland.
